Second, your legal advisor must have a familiarity with the court system and have experience practicing before the presiding Judges in the County that you matter is being litigated in. Knowing the Judges’ court rules and their anticipated responses to certain situations can help you, not only save thousand on you legal bills, but can literally change the outcome of your case.
Third, the attorney should be able to relate in some form or fashion to you story. Without the attorney putting himself or herself in a similar situation, they may not be able to effectively assist you in your matter.
Fourth, the attorney should be flexible and patient with the client. Divorce can be an extremely difficult time in your life. The last thing a client needs is a difficult attorney on her or his side.
